Crave’s journey began in the kitchen of a young family who fell in love with bubble waffles during their vacation. After several years, they found themselves unable to locate a bubble waffle shop nearby, so they decided to recreate the experience at home. After many trials and errors, they perfected the recipe, achieving the perfect combination of a light, airy waffle that is soft and chewy on the inside, yet crispy on the outside. It was a triumph. Driven by passion, they began searching for a storefront, even without a business plan or prior knowledge of operations. Crave’s doors officially opened on July 2nd, 2022, under the name “Waffle-Licious,” a small yet cozy shop that introduced the unique world of bubble waffles (also known as egg waffles) to Baltimore.

Nearly three years later, having outgrown their original space and expanded their menu, they decided it was time to relocate and rebrand. In May 2025, Waffle-Licious became “Crave.” The new name reflected their expanded offerings, including crepes, desserts, and savory options, in addition to their beloved bubble waffles.

At Crave, everything is made from scratch using only high-quality ingredients.​ Please, don’t ask us if we use a mix for our waffles, crepes, tiramisu, or other items. You’re offending us!
